The RoleWe are looking for an Energy Markets & Grid Integration Lead at the intersection of energy market expertise and technical platform ownership. You will shape how Loadwise connects to and responds to European energy markets, establishing data centers as a grid-flexible asset class. You will own two motions:Commercial: Identify and structure data center participation in demand response programs; build relationships with TSOs, DSOs, and aggregators; design commercial frameworks.Technical: Define how market signals connect to the platform and how assets respond in real time; work on API connectivity, signal logic, and response calibration. What the first six months look likeMap and engage relevant European DR programs; identify where Loadwise customers participate; build relationships with TSOs/aggregators; define requirements; ensure the platform receives and processes live market signals. What You'll Work OnEnergy Market & Grid Integration (Technical): Define signal connectivity and asset responses; own/co-own API integrations with operators/aggregators; calibrate real-time response logic; define signal quality requirements.Demand Response & Flexibility Programs: Identify/evaluate/structure participation; manage enrollment processes; track market developments.Shaping the Asset Class: Help establish data centers as a flexibility asset; engage regulators and industry bodies; represent Loadwise in technical and policy discussions.Customer Value & Commercial Frameworks: Design ROI models and reporting; support energy procurement discussions. What We're Looking ForEnergy Markets & Demand Response: Experience with DR/flexibility markets or large consumer energy management in Europe; working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., EnWG or EU).Technical Depth: Comfort with API connectivity, signal structures, real-time logic; work with energy data; contribute to integration architecture with engineers.Commercial & Analytical: Experience with energy-related commercial agreements; strong written and verbal communication in German and English.Collaboration & Mindset: Operate across commercial, technical, regulatory domains; conviction in demand/grid flexibility; manage multiple relationships.
