What you'll do:
Manage and grow a team of 5 software engineers, owning their delivery, development and day-to-day leadership.
Own the engineering operating system: tooling, vendor lifecycle management, on-call staffing, and platform support, so engineers never lose time to broken processes or the wrong buy versus build call.
Own engineering performance visibility: build and maintain shared metrics infrastructure across investment tracking, shipping pace, and quality, surfacing signals before they become problems.
-
Own investment bucket visibility and financial reporting for engineering, keeping data quality high and definitions consistent across the org.
What we're looking for:
A strong engineering background as a senior, staff or principal engineer, with the credibility to earn trust from senior engineers quickly.
Proven experience managing a software engineering team, including people development, performance management and delivery ownership.
Experience owning tooling, vendor relationships or infrastructure decisions, including build versus buy calls, contract renewals and on-call setup, and comfort splitting attention between running a team day to day and owning cross-cutting systems that other teams depend on.
A systems thinker with a bias for simplification, someone who can find the version of a process, tool or metric that's 60% simpler and 90% as good.
-
Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance creativity, decisions, and execution
