Kin is building the final layer in wellness.

We combine daily reflection with wearable data and turn it into clear, actionable insights that help people understand their patterns and make better decisions in everyday life. Instead of more dashboards and more data, we focus on clarity.

Kin is live in closed beta with strong early engagement and consistent journaling usage. We’re preparing for public launch and early angel funding. The core product is built. The next phase is about scaling the architecture, refining the product, and building for long-term impact.

The Role

We’re looking for a Technical Co-Founder to join at an early stage and take full ownership of the technical direction.

You will:

• Lead and evolve the product architecture

• Improve and scale the existing codebase

• Design reliable data flows for check-ins, journaling, and AI-generated insights

• Build for performance, security, and privacy from day one

• Work closely with the founder on product strategy and roadmap

This is a hands-on role. You will be building, deciding, and shaping the company from the inside.

Who You Are

• You’ve built and shipped real products before

• You think in systems, not just features

• You care about clean architecture and long-term maintainability

• You’re comfortable working with modern web stacks and AI integrations

• You value simplicity and strong UX

• You want ownership, not just tasks

Experience with scalable backend design, data modeling, and API architecture is important. Startup experience is a strong plus.

• TypeScript across the entire stack

• Monorepo with shared contracts

• tRPC + Supabase (Postgres & Auth)

• React Native (Expo) for mobile

• Provider-agnostic LLM layer (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic)
