Overview

Jhpiego, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), is implementing the Workplace Intervention to improve the sexual and reproductive health and nutritional well-being of female RMG workers through counseling, coordination, and strengthened service linkages at the factory level. Under the overall guidance of the Program Director–SRHR and the supervision of the Program Coordinator–Urban SRHR (Program Support), the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties.

Responsibilities

  1. SRHR & Family Planning (80%):
  • Provide confidential, informed-choice counseling on modern contraceptive methods (short-acting, LARCs, and permanent methods).
  • Conduct awareness sessions on birth spacing, limiting, and contraceptive use.
  • Support factory health clinics and coordinate with providers to ensure service delivery.
  • Assist in organizing LARC service camps.
  • Provide information and referrals for STI/HIV, cervical cancer, obstetric fistula, and maternal health (ANC/PNC).
  1. Nutrition Counseling (20%):
  • Conduct group counseling sessions for pregnant workers.
  • Promote improved nutrition and diversified diets, addressing micronutrient deficiencies.
  • Facilitate referrals for ANC and safe delivery services.
  1. Monitoring & Coordination:
  • Track and report key indicators, including service uptake and outreach coverage.
  • Coordinate with factory clinics, UNFPA, and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.

Compliance

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation. She/He will be a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.

Safeguarding/ PSEA

  • Practice, promote, and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. She/He will follow the safeguarding reporting procedure if any reportable incident occurs, encouraging others to do so.

Special Assignment

Carry out any other tasks the supervisor and senior management team assign.

Required Qualifications

Preference to be given to a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in SRHR/Family Planning counseling, programming, or community health.

A relevant academic background (e.g., at least bachelor’s degree) in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Midwifery or any relevant fields.

  • Strong analytical skills to track progress and accomplishments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities, including documentation and reporting.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable to organizational needs.
  • Willingness to visit assigned areas as required.
