Overview
The U4Q (Manyata Bangladesh) initiative aims to improve the quality of maternal and newborn healthcare by adapting the Manyata model. The project focuses on strengthening clinical quality standards, facility readiness, provider capacity, and health systems through training, mentoring, certification, and digital innovations across selected public and private health care facilities.
The Project Coordinator will play a central role in the day-to-day management and coordination of the Uniting for Quality (U4Q – Manyata Bangladesh) project, ensuring effective and timely implementation of all planned activities across selected facilities. The position will act as a key link between the technical team, health facilities, government stakeholders, and partners, facilitating smooth execution of training, mentorship, quality assessments, and learning activities.
The Project Coordinator will support planning, logistics, and monitoring processes, while ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and reporting requirements. In addition, the role will contribute to data tracking, documentation of best practices, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen quality improvement initiatives in maternal and newborn health and support the overall goal of improving service quality and health outcomes.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Implementation Support
- Support execution of project work plans in line with technical guidance from the Senior Technical Manager
- Coordinate inception activities, stakeholder consultations, and program launch
- Liaise with health facilities, local stakeholders, and partners for smooth implementation
- Track progress of activities and flag implementation challenges
Support to Technical Interventions
- Assist in organizing facility selection processes and assessments
- Coordinate logistics for clinical training and mentoring visits
- Support establishment and functioning of QITs
- Facilitate implementation of MPDSR activities at facility level
Quality Improvement & Facility Monitoring
- Support monitoring of facility compliance with MNCAH quality standards
- Assist in organizing facility assessments, client satisfaction surveys, and certification processes
- Track progress of quality improvement initiatives across facilities
Data, Monitoring & Reporting
- Coordinate data collection for assessments
- Ensure timely compilation and submission of field data and reports
- Support data validation, basic analysis, and dashboard updates (MIS)
- Prepare routine progress reports, meeting notes, and presentations
Training & Capacity Building Support
- Organize and manage logistics for training sessions and workshops
- Coordinate with trainers, assessors, and participants
- Maintain training records and follow-up actions
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Maintain regular communication with DGHS, DGFP, QIS, and facility-level stakeholders
- Support Technical Working Group meetings and stakeholder consultations
- Assist in organizing policy dialogues, dissemination events, and workshops
Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned
- Support development of reports, case studies, and communication materials
- Assist in organizing learning exchanges and cross-facility visits
Administrative & Logistics Management
- Manage logistics for meetings, trainings, and field visits
- Support budget tracking and activity expenditure monitoring
- Maintain proper documentation and filing systems
Any other job related to the function will be allocated as and when required by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in MNCAH, quality improvement, or health program coordination
- Experience working with government health systems and/or development partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Post Graduation Training in Gynae and Obs.
- Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) preferred.
- Experience in field-level program implementation preferred
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of MNCAH quality of care standards and facility-based interventions
- Familiarity with data collection tools, MIS systems, and reporting processes
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational and coordination skills

Travel Requirements
- Regular travel to project sites across Bangladesh
