Jhpiego is seeking a Advisor– Digital Health to support the activities of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Evidence and Implementation of Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence in Health Systems. TheAdvisor– Digital Health will be responsible for conducting digital health and AI landscape analyses, desk reviews, systematic and structured literature reviews, technical writing, development of knowledge products, and coordination of technical consultations and convenings.The role will work closely with the Country Lead – Digital Health, Global Digital Health leadership, and program teams to produce high-quality technical outputs including technical guidance documents, policy briefs, implementation frameworks, evidence syntheses, and peer-reviewed publications. The role will also support knowledge translation and regional learning initiatives related to digital health and AI implementation in health systems.
Responsibilities
• Conduct landscape analyses, desk research, and evidence reviews on digital health and AI applications in health systems, including governance, implementation models, and evaluation frameworks.
• Support systematic reviews, literature reviews, and evidence synthesis related to digital health and AI interventions in low- and middle-income countries.
• Lead and contribute to the development of technical guidance documents, policy briefs, strategic reports, and knowledge products for global and regional stakeholders.•
Provide technical writing support for peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, and implementation documentation.
• Support the development of implementation frameworks, evaluation frameworks, and operational guidance for digital health and AI integration into health systems.
• Organize and coordinate technical consultations, expert convenings, regional dialogues, and learning events related to digital health and AI.
• Support documentation of country implementation experiences, including case studies and lessons learned from digital health and AI deployments.
• Collaborate with Jhpiego’s global and country teams to support knowledge translation and dissemination of evidence into policy and program guidance.
• Assist in the development of regional learning materials, knowledge products, and technical resources for policymakers, program managers, and implementers.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners including WHO, ministries of health, research institutions, and development partners.
•T rack and monitor global and regional developments in digital health, artificial intelligence in health systems, and digital health governance.
• Support project management, reporting, and documentation related to the WHO Collaborating Centre workplan.
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Digital Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field, Doctorate in Medicine or PhD in above fields preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in digital health, artificial intelligence in health.
• Demonstrated experience conducting desk research, landscape analyses, literature reviews, and evidence synthesis.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies, particularly secondary research, qualitative research, and implementation research.
• Proven technical writing experience, including reports, publications, guidance documents, or policy briefs. Prior experience with a UN organization is a plus.
• At least two or more peer-reviewed publications or major technical reports authored or co-authored.
• Strong understanding of digital health ecosystems, health information systems, and AI applications in public health.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical workstreams simultaneously.

• Experience working with multilateral organizations such as WHO, World Bank, UNICEF, or similar institutions.
• Experience supporting systematic reviews or meta-analyses.
• Familiarity with digital health governance, AI ethics, and evaluation frameworks for digital health interventions.
• Experience organizing technical consultations, expert working groups, or regional convenings.
