Jhpiego is hiring a Data Assistant based at NHM Jaipur (Rajasthan) to support the SPM for strengthening the data for decision making. The Data Assistant will report to Senior Programme Officer.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Data Collection & Coordination
- Coordinate systematic collection of program data from facilities, districts and program divisions, ensuring timely submission and completeness.
- Review incoming data to identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete records and follow up with relevant stakeholders for correction.
- Perform periodic data validation and prepare data quality summaries for reviews.
- Database Management
- Develop, manage and maintain program databases to capture and organize programmatic data effectively.
- Design and manage data management tools using MS Excel, MS Access and other relevant platforms to support routine reporting and analysis.
- Work closely with field and program teams to resolve discrepancies, standardize data cleaning procedures, and improve data quality over time.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor key program indicators and support the timely dissemination of data insights, performance updates and reports.
- Assist Program officer and/or Program coordinator in preparing program reports, activity trackers and factsheets to support evidence-based decisions.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake additional data and program support tasks as assigned by the senior program officer/ program officer to support effective program operations and achievement of program goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, Economics, or related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in health data analysis or program monitoring.
- Prior experience with NHM data systems preferred.

- Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and interpretation.
- Ability to convert data into clear insights and action points.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced), dashboards, and basic analytics tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets.
- Ability to communicate data insights to non-technical audiences.
