In India, Jhpiego partners with national and state governments across various states, providing technical assistance in family planning, maternal and child health, human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases.

Jhpiego is hiring for the position of Program Officer to join the team in Delhi.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the guidance of the Policy Advisor to support the development of a strong and competent HRH nationwide.
  • Liaise with government officials and other stakeholders to achieve program goals and respond promptly to their requests.
  • Provide technical support and build capacity of the staff at HRH intervention sites to achieve project goals.
  • Report on project-related indicators, baselines, and targets to meet state and donor
  • Develop and produce documents such as reports, success stories, procurement plans, and concept notes based on program needs of nursing and midwifery.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of the annual work plan as per agreed deliverables and
  • Perform other activities assigned by the supervisor to support organizational
  • Support HRH team in developing report on labor market analysis for nurses and midwives and roadmap for nursing and midwifery roadmap for India
  • Support HRH team in various programmatic activities and specific key stakeholder
  • Asist team in planning workshops, consultations, and capacity building events as per specific need of HRH team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in BDS , B.Sc. Nursing, BAMS and MPH is essential.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in maternal health programs, ideally within the development or NGO sector.
  • Good knowledge of National programs and policies in
  • Technical knowledge and field experience of implementing large scale public health
  • Effective communication skills are essential for this position
