Research Assistant in Cognitive

Neuroscience

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant to join our research team at INAB

(Institute of Advanced Neuroscience of Barcelona) in our Barcelona laboratories. The ideal

candidate should have a background in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical

Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and a strong interest in experimental research

on perception, consciousness, emotions, and human behaviour.

The position is suitable for a versatile profile who can support different stages of the

research process, including experimental preparation, data collection, laboratory recordings,

basic analysis, and support in scientific documentation.

Responsibilities

● Support the design, preparation, and execution of experimental protocols.

● Assist during laboratory recordings using techniques such as EEG, fNIRS,

biosensors, eye-tracking, or behavioural tasks.

● Perform basic processing of research data.

● Support the preparation of scientific reports, presentations, ethics documentation,

and publications.

● Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technical staff in ongoing projects.

● Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and research protocols.

Requirements

● Master’s degree in Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering,

Data Science, or a related field.

● Interest in the fields of perception, consciousness, cognition, and emotions.

● Ability to follow experimental protocols with accuracy and attention to detail.

● Good organizational skills and capacity to manage multiple tasks.

● Basic knowledge of research methods, experimental design, or data analysis.

● Good communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

● Motivation to learn and contribute to a growing research environment.
