GigaClimate is seeking a highly motivated and hands on Go-To-Market Strategy Intern that will develop a market entry and commercialization strategy for Middle East and Asia markets for our wearable cooling platform. The core deliverable will be a structured strategy deck that synthesizes market research, customer discovery, pricing insights, and competitive analysis into clear recommendations for launch. This internship is a hands-on, strategy-focused role designed for someone who wants real ownership, real research exposure, and real impact.

GigaClimate is the next great transformational commercialization lab. We are a venture builder creating and commercializing the initial stages of gigatonne scale, billion person impact climate companies. Today, we are building next-generation wearable personal cooling technology designed to protect health and productivity in extreme heat.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Customer Research

  • Size and segment priority markets across the Middle East and Asia (e.g., GCC, Southeast Asia, East Asia)

  • Identify and profile high-heat exposure customer segments (e.g., construction, energy, utilities, logistics, agriculture)

Customer Discovery & Interviews

  • Design interview guides and conduct primary interviews with potential customers, channel partners, and industry stakeholders

  • Synthesize qualitative insights into clear pain points, buying criteria, and adoption barriers and validate priority use cases and early adopter profiles

Pricing & Willingness to Pay

  • Research local pricing benchmarks, procurement norms, and purchasing constraints

  • Develop hypotheses around willingness to pay by segment and geography

Competitive & Ecosystem Analysis

  • Analyze regional and global competitors across active and passive cooling solutions

  • Assess substitutes and current heat mitigation practices

  • Identify potential ecosystem partners

Go-To-Market Strategy Development

  • Recommend priority beachhead markets and launch strategy

  • Propose pilot programs, proof-of-concept structures, and early launch partnerships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current (or recent graduate) MBA

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data

  • Comfort conducting interviews and engaging with professionals

  • Clear written and visual communication skills (PowerPoint / Google Slides)

  • Interest in climate adaptation, hardware, emerging markets, or industrial technology

  • Experience with emerging markets or international business

  • Familiarity with B2B or industrial sales models

  • Background in consulting, business development, or startup environments

This role is San Francisco-based with the opportunity for hybrid work with a headquarters location in San Francisco. This role will report to the Commercial Principal at GigaClimate. Compensation will be a competitive hourly rate for 40 hours/week. This position description is written as a guideline to inform interns of what is generally expected of them.
