You define how Flox’s hardware, AI, and software fit together into one reliable system — translating the wildlife-intelligence vision into an architecture that scales across species, sites, and products.
About the role
You own the end-to-end system architecture of the Flox platform, ensuring the Edge device, the Wildlife Brain, and the data layer work together seamlessly in the field.
What you’ll do
- Define the overall system architecture across hardware, firmware, AI, and cloud
- Make build-vs-buy and interface decisions that keep the platform reliable and scalable
- Translate product requirements into clear technical specifications
- Coordinate across AI, embedded, and operations teams to align on interfaces
- Establish standards for reliability, observability, and field maintainability
What you bring
- Strong systems-engineering background spanning hardware and software
- Experience architecting connected or embedded products at scale
- Ability to balance technical depth with product pragmatism
- Clear communication across multidisciplinary teams
- Fluent in English
