Job Description
We’re looking for a Community Manager who loves making videos, jumping on relevant trends, and creating content that genuinely connects with people. If you’re passionate about health and wellness and want to be part of a brand making a real impact, this could be for you.
As our Community Manager at Famasi Africa, you’ll be the creative mind shaping our social content and that of our sub-brands — think TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts that people actually want to watch and share. You’ll ensure our content finds the right audience through clever, platform-specific edits, smart collaborations, and strategic distribution. You’ll also take charge of engagement, reach, and conversion across our platforms, providing weekly reports on what’s working and where we can improve.
You will:
Edit and publish content, from Reels to carousels, TikToks to blog snippets, using existing brand assets and voice guidelines.
Distribute content smartly, schedule and publish posts, cross-post across platforms, and track what’s working.
Find new distribution channels and get our content there.
Reach out to potential partners, micro-creators, and sex-positive communities for collaborations.
Collaborate with existing content creators to ensure we're putting out 12 posts daily across Famasi and Talk to August.
Build light campaign calendars that help us stay consistent and strategic across Famasi and Talk to August.
Collaborate with the product/content team to translate in-app features and resources into social-ready formats.
Monitor performance, trends and communities to spot where Famasi and Talk to August could organically fit in.
Requirements
A passion for video content creation (TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
Trend-savvy: You’re always in the loop with what’s hot and happening.
Extremely clear writing with the ability to adapt your tone for different platforms and audiences.
Excellent communication skills — fast, empathetic, and clear with the ability to communicate with customers effectively and team members
Demonstrated emotional stability & resilience.
Adaptability and empathy in dealing with customers and team members, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Respectful and collaborative attitude towards team members and customers, with a commitment to promoting a positive work environment.
Comfort using scheduling tools.
Comfortable editing with CapCut, Canva, or similar.
