About Us

Famasi's mission is to make medications simpler by helping individuals & businesses connect to pharmacies.

To do this, we're building technology that transforms pharmacy operations & eventually
the pharmacy infrastructure for digital health at scale. Today, this means anybody can get same-day delivery or pickup from pharmacies, set up automated refills with free deliveries for recurrent medications and leverage our network to connect to other providers.

With a focus on emerging markets, we've delivered medications across 30+ States in Nigeria, onboarded over 1000 Pharmacies and our customers have come from 4 continents. To learn more about our impact, read our 2024 recap.
We're backed by our early customers, tech founders and VCs; global organisations like Google; and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through their Investing in Innovation Africa program. Our goal is to hit 10k pharmacies & 1million refills, and we've barely scratched the surface.
We've built a Dispensary for everyone - PharmacyOS for Pharmacies, APIs for Providers/Businesses, & Dashboard for individuals. Behind the scenes, our team does the extremely tedious work that makes life simpler for thousands of people - and this is where you come in.

Job Description

We’re hiring a Senior Pharmacy Operations Associate to own and grow our pharmacy network. You’ll work collaboratively to define systems, refine processes, escalate issues, and drive continuous improvement. You will also lead the onboarding and training of new partner pharmacies to drive adoption.

You're a good fit if you can anticipate & resolve challenges before they arise, communicate clearly across teams, and stay calm under pressure—adapting swiftly to shifting priorities while keeping the network on track and our patients cared for. This role may require travel to onboard and audit partner pharmacies and ensure regulatory compliance across markets. A pharmacy degree or equivalent, 3–5 years in operations or logistics, with proven experience are required.

You will

• Own end-to-end pharmacy operations for patients, providers, and last-mile delivery.
• Grow the network by targeting, onboarding, training, auditing, and improving pharmacies to ensure full geographic coverage.
• Lead and coach pharmacists, fulfillment specialists, account managers, and riders to achieve daily targets.
• Define and achieve key KPIs such as fulfillment speed, order acceptance rate, accuracy, medication adherence, and NPS.
• Monitor API service levels and order queues, identify bottlenecks, and resolve them before they impact patients.
• Manage inventory, substitution, and refill workflows to maintain stock levels and prevent outages.
• Collaborate with Finance to process settlements and ensure timely payments to pharmacies and logistics partners.
• Enforce regulatory compliance by managing documentation, cold-chain protocols, controlled drugs, and local guidelines.
• Collect and distribute operational insights to Product, Engineering, Growth, and Customer Success teams.
• Foster a culture of ownership, rapid feedback, and customer focus.
Please note this is a hybrid role where you're required to be on-site thrice a week in your first month & flexible afterwards. While it's not required, it's a bonus if you live around Lekki.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in pharmacy operations, last-mile delivery, or supply-chain roles

  • Proficiency with data and reporting tools (Excel, BI dashboards) and real-time ops/CRM systems

  • Hands-on experience with continuous-improvement or quality-management methods (Lean, Six Sigma)

  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and a track record of resolving bottlenecks through root-cause analysis

  • Exceptional computer literacy and willingness to master new digital tools

  • Empathetic, customer-focused mindset with excellent verbal and written communication

  • Adaptable under pressure, with emotional stability and attention to detail

  • Willingness to travel regularly for on-site audits, training, and partner engagements

Benefits

  • Flexible working environment
  • Employee stock options, with standard vesting schedule.
