Job Description

Want to be part of transforming road freight? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, autonomous and electric technologies. We build the technology that hauls freight efficiently, and we put it to work for the world's leading manufacturers, retailers, logistics providers and defense organizations, all working toward a future where moving goods costs less for our customers, and less for the planet.

Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a U.S. public road. In June 2026, Einride became a publicly listed company on Nasdaq, a milestone that reflects a decade of turning what once looked like science fiction into everyday reality. Today, our technology moves freight across North America, Europe, and the Middle East for some of the world's biggest shippers.

The IT team at Einride is responsible for internal systems and infrastructure not directly managed by our product engineering teams. The IT team is central to the organization, aligning policy and operations with both engineering and non-engineering teams. In particular, the IT team partners especially closely with HR, to manage the employee lifecycle, and with the Security team, to ensure our ongoing compliance and information security.

You will:

  • Set the IT strategy. Be the thought leader for internal systems, from AI to email. You will set the IT department’s long-term strategy as well as ensuring that your team keeps the day-to-day work on pace.
  • Lead IT's role in business change. Support IT integration for acquisitions, new offices, and new markets. Liaise with Einride’s business leaders to ensure that IT’s strategy enhances the productivity and access the business needs (while not compromising our commitment to security and compliance).
  • Own the IT budget and vendor portfolio. Plan and manage spend, negotiate contracts, and retire tools that overlap or go unused.
  • Run the employee lifecycle with HR. Your team owns onboarding, role changes, and offboarding end to end, including device provisioning and access revocation.
  • Own the IT side of compliance. Provide the evidence and controls IT is accountable for in audits and certifications, in partnership with Security. Strategize proactively around tools like zero trust, identity management, device management, etc, that reduce risk and make everyone’s job easier.
  • Set the policy for adopting tools internally, including AI. Decide which tools are approved, how company data may be used with them, and how adoption is measured. Decide what to build, buy, vibe, or outsource, and how all of it is monitored and managed once it comes in.
  • Manage the endpoint and identity environment. Be accountable for device management, SSO, and access policies across the organization.
  • Lead with empathy and high standards. Define roles and career paths, cultivate the team you have via professional development, motivate the team, and make IT a place where people want to stay, with succession depth below you.

We expect you to:

  • Have 10+ years’ proven track record within IT management, preferably in a SaaS-heavy environment. (Google Workspace and GCP experience is a plus.)
  • Be a natural diplomat and problem-solver: you thrive in an environment of conflicting priorities, diverse requirements, and resource constraints. You listen to business requirements and guide your team into translating them into technical solutions.
  • Combine strategic and tactical thinking: you set long-term strategy while not losing sight of immediate business needs.
  • Having a proven track record of cultivating an effective team through hiring, motivation, and professional development, during a period of significant growth. You have experience managing managers, not just individual contributors, and can describe the difference.
  • Have a genuine passion for and understanding of technology, and how it works in a complex organization. You stay abreast of the latest developments and have experience in keeping a diverse organization on pace in adopting new systems and processes.
  • Have experience and knowledge of security and risk management. Experience with ISO 27001, SOX, or similar, is a plus.
  • Be fluent in English, with Swedish a plus.

This is a full-time position based in Stockholm or Gothenburg. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.

Please note that as part of our standard recruitment process, we conduct a background control on the final candidate for this role. This may include verification of education, employment history, any relevant professional certifications or other information that may be of our interest.
