Job Description

Want to be part of transforming road freight? Einride is showing the world a new way to move, based on the latest digital, autonomous and electric technologies. We build the technology that hauls freight efficiently, and we put it to work for the world's leading manufacturers, retailers, logistics providers and defense organizations, all working toward a future where moving goods cost less for our customers, and less for the planet.

Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a U.S. public road. In June 2026, Einride became a publicly listed company on Nasdaq, a milestone that reflects a decade of turning what once looked like science fiction into everyday reality. Today, our technology moves freight across North America, Europe, and the Middle East for some of the world's biggest shippers.

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Calibration Engineer for autonomous vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong software engineering skills and experience in developing and transitioning prototypes into final products.

You will:

  • Design, build, and own end-to-end sensor calibration pipelines (intrinsics and extrinsics) for the full vehicle sensor suite, including cameras, lidar, radar, IMU, and GNSS
  • Develop and maintain factory calibration procedures and continuous calibration algorithms
  • Define calibration accuracy requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • Build automated tooling for calibration validation and monitoring across the fleet
  • Scale calibration infrastructure to support new sensor configurations, vehicle platforms, and and growing fleet size
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

We expect you to have:

  • Strong technical background: PhD or highly qualified MS in one of the following: Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in sensor calibration, computer vision, robotics, or a closely related area
  • Strong understanding of multi-sensor calibration techniques: camera intrinsics/extrinsics, camera–LiDAR, LiDAR–IMU, radar alignment, and hand–eye calibration.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python in a production software environment
  • Experience with common robotics/vision libraries and tools (e.g., OpenCV, Ceres, GTSAM, Eigen, ROS)
  • Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous problems from concept through deployment, including validation and monitoring in production
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating across software, hardware, and operations teams

This is a full-time position based in Gothenburg or Stockholm. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible since selection and interviews are held continually.

Please note that as part of our standard recruitment process, we conduct a background control on the final candidate for this role. This may include verification of education, employment history, any relevant professional certifications or other information that may be of our interest.
