Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.

Your mission when joining the HR Ops team at Einride will be to lead the global payroll function, ensuring precision across Sweden, EMEA, and the US. You will act as the architect of the employee lifecycle, balancing technical compliance with a strategic partnership alongside Finance and HR leaders.

You will

  • Global Payroll Ownership: Manage the end-to-end payroll engine for Sweden and EMEA (UK, DE, NL, UAE), while providing critical support to US operations.
  • Maintain Quality & Compliance: Ensure our payroll and HR processes are accurate, secure, and always audit-ready.
  • Partner with Finance: Maintain a seamless reporting and reconciliation partnership with our Finance team to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Lifecycle Architecture: Oversee the full employee journey, including the coordination of global mobility and work permits with external partners.
  • Operational Execution: Support the practicalities of employee onboarding and offboarding to ensure a smooth transition at every stage.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key advisor to HRBPs, supporting organizational changes and leadership transitions.
  • Professional Growth: Gain direct exposure to global HR operations and strategic decision-making, providing a clear path for career advancement.

We expect you to:

  • Payroll Expertise: You have demonstrated experience running Swedish payroll independently, with a deep understanding of Swedish taxes and benefits.
  • Technical Rigor: You are a power user of Excel and/or Google Sheets and feel at home navigating various payroll systems and HR tech.
  • Global Context: You have 3–5 years of experience in HR within international contexts and a strong interest in global payroll and mobility.
  • The Scale-Up Mindset: You are a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.

It's a plus if you have:

  • Prior experience managing EMEA payroll and US payroll
  • Hands-on experience with Mobility and Immigration processes.
  • Experience from a pre-IPO or public company environment.
