Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the world’s biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Sweden’s largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience in large scale data collection, ingestion and processing platform to join us in building our autonomous driving solution as a part of the Data team.

You will:

• Develop strategy and architecture for collecting, processing and leveraging data.
• Design and implement solutions for efficient and scalable collection and processing of dense robotics data (raw sensor data, signals, service messages).
• Develop Data Mesh platform that enables Machine Learning, Validation & Verification, Release and Systems Engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with experts from Machine Learning, MLOps, Perception and other teams to build a State of Art safe autonomous driving system.

We expect that you:

• Have 5+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering, with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics.
• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Enjoy sharing your knowledge to help the team grow and learning from others.
• Are self-driven, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus skills:

• Proficiency in Go or C++ programming languages.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in building and operating distributed and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of database and experience working with multiple data-models, such as relational databases and analytical or document-oriented stores (e.g. PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore).
• Experience in collecting and processing large volume of sensor data (camera, LiDAR, radar).
• Understanding of machine learning training process.

This is a full-time position based at our office in Gothenburg. Of course, we have a modern and hybrid set-up that allows you to partly work from home but our expectations is that you also are present at our office in Gothenburg.
