The opportunity
We are looking for a lead engineer who has experience at a rapidly scaling startup. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and delivery of some of Commons' most important technical investments. Our development team is still small and you will be working across our full stack, from the React native app to the Node.js and Python servers, as well as with our hosting, testing, and continuous deployment infrastructure.
This is an individual contributor role, not a management position.
Responsibilities
Working on key features of Commons' app and other technologies
Leading the technical design of features and systems (we're especially looking for someone with back-end expertise)
Mentoring the development team as they grow their technical skills
