CLER is a deep-tech start-up that is revolutionising global air purification. We have developed a product that will eliminate the global dependency on disposable air filters. Our state of the art product requires no maintenance, offers outstanding energy-efficiency and provides higher clean air quality than any other system in the market.The technology does not only clean air like no other system, but it also uses less energy when doing so.

Only seven countries worldwide meet WHO dirty air guidelines. Air pollution is estimated to cause 7 million premature deaths globally each year. Asia, Eastern-Europe and many other areas suffer from incredibly bad air quality which has little to no solution. At the same time, Europe is leading the way with their Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), aiming to make all buildings greener and putting pressure on real estate owners to lower building emissions. All these areas present a global opportunity that requires an extreme level of grit, ownership, bold moves and flexibility.

We aim to become the new global standard in air filtration. Our ambition is to redefine how the world cleans its air - by cutting waste, reducing CO₂ emissions and protecting public health.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement automation solutions for Airission’s air purification systems and test environments.

Develop control systems for sensors, actuators, and process equipment (PLC, SCADA, IoT).

Integrate automation with mechanical and electrical systems to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Support lab and field testing by automating measurement setups and data collection.

Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to industrialize solutions for manufacturing.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve automation platforms and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering.

3+ years of experience in automation engineering or industrial control systems.

Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Beckhoff, or similar).

Experience with sensors, actuators, and control logic.

Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT).

Ability to work hands-on with prototypes, wiring, and system integration.

Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience in HVAC, filtration, process, or clean tech industries.

Knowledge of IoT platforms, cloud integration, and remote monitoring.

Skills in data acquisition, Python/Matlab scripting, or test automation.

Familiarity with CE certification, functional safety, and regulatory standards.

Experience in scaling automation solutions from prototype to industrial production.
