IT Support – Part-Time
Blykalla is scaling quickly in order to industrialize our small modular reactor (SMR) concept. If you are passionate about nuclear technology and want to make a significant impact, join us!
Are you a service-minded IT talent ready to support a fast-growing tech environment? As Blykalla expands and scales our operations, we are looking to strengthen our IT support capacity by hiring a part-time IT Support to ensure that our systems, tools, and hardware run smoothly.
What we do at Blykalla
Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden's only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems.
What You'll Get to Do
As Blykalla continues to grow, so does the need for reliable and scalable IT support. Today, we already have part-time IT support in place, and we are now looking to expand this function to approximately 50% to better support our growing organization of 120+ users, including consultants.
This role is ideal for someone studying IT/technology or running their own business and looking for a flexible part-time opportunity with hands-on responsibility and room to grow. You will work closely with our existing support setup and become an important part of ensuring that our systems, tools, and hardware function smoothly across the organization.
Our tech stack includes Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, AI tools, Lucid, and more. You will support everything from onboarding new users and troubleshooting technical issues to maintaining hardware, software, and digital workplace tools. Over time, there will also be opportunities to grow into more advanced IT systems administration and infrastructure responsibilities.

Onboard and register users in our systems (Slack, Asana, Google Workspace, etc.).
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues (laptops, networks, accounts, integrations).
Ensure our IT infrastructure and digital workplace tools run smoothly.
Document processes and contribute to improved support routines and workflows.
Develop into more advanced IT system administration and architecture over time.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external IT partners when needed.
Who you are
We are looking for someone passionate about technology, who enjoys helping others, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You are most likely a student in IT/technology or a freelancer with solid technical skills, looking for a flexible part-time role where you can grow.
Strong IT skills and technical knowledge – you are confident working with both hardware and software.
Either studying IT/technology or running your own IT-related business.
Service-minded, helpful, and approachable, with strong communication skills.
Able to work independently, with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
Fluent in English. Swedish is preferred but not required.
Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, Lucid, or similar tools is a plus.
You can be present at our Stockholm office at least one day per week, and additionally when needed.
It's a big plus if you also have:
Experience with networking (e.g., firewalls, VPN, VLANs)
Experience with IT security or cybersecurity practices
Location: Stockholm (hybrid – minimum one day per week onsite)
Scope: Approx. 50% (e.g. 20 hours per week, flexible)
Reports to: Chief People & Culture Officer

About Blykalla
Blykalla is Sweden's only SMR vendor, commercializing lead-cooled fast reactors for industrial use. Based on 20+ years of research, their SEALER technology is a compact 55 MWe unit designed to offer a safe, efficient, and scalable power solution. With a strong foundation within Sweden, Blykalla is well positioned to deliver Europe's first advanced SMR, providing reliable and sustainable baseload energy to power AI and clean industries.
Backed by partners such as Uniper, ABB, KSB, Höganäs, and the Royal Institute of Technology, Blykalla has secured close to EUR 50 million in funding, including a SEK 99 million grant from the Swedish Energy Agency and a EUR 17 million investment from the EU. The company plans to complete its first SEALER reactor by 2030 and begin serial production in the 2030s. By 2050, their technology could generate up to 500 TWh of clean electricity annually, cutting global CO₂ emissions by 0.5 gigatons each year.
