About the role

Following our continued growth across the United States, we are seeking a Director / Senior Director of Business Development – CRO to help drive Biorce’s commercial expansion across the U.S. CRO market.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of CRO, you will be a critical member of our commercial organization, responsible for driving new business across a high-potential portfolio of CRO customers, building senior-level relationships, and positioning Biorce as a category leader in AI for clinical development.

This is a high-impact sales role combining strategic business development, enterprise selling, account growth, and relationship management. You will own your territory and commercial outcomes end to end, with significant opportunity for career progression as Biorce continues to expand its presence across the CRO ecosystem.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for a commercially sharp seller with deep credibility across the CRO and clinical technology ecosystem.

You understand how CROs operate, how they deliver clinical trials for their customers, and where technology can create meaningful operational, financial, and strategic value.

You should be comfortable operating with significant autonomy — owning a defined territory and book of accounts, generating your own pipeline, managing multiple complex commercial opportunities simultaneously, and building trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across CRO organizations.

The ideal candidate can navigate complex organizations, identify the right stakeholders, understand customer priorities, and translate sophisticated AI and technology capabilities into clear commercial value.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pipeline generation through negotiation and deal closure with CRO customers across the U.S.
  • Take responsibility for hitting quarterly and annual revenue targets and consistently delivering against ambitious commercial goals.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies across the CRO market in close partnership with the Vice President of CRO.
  • Identify high-potential CRO accounts, key decision-makers, and commercial opportunities across Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Technology, Digital, Innovation, Data, and Executive Leadership functions.
  • Build and cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with senior and C-level stakeholders across CRO organizations.
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and strategic account development.
  • Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously while maintaining strong pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and commercial urgency.
  • Understand each CRO customer’s business model, clinical operations, technology environment, delivery challenges, and strategic priorities in order to position Biorce against the highest-value use cases.
  • Clearly articulate the ROI, business value, operational efficiencies, and competitive advantages created by Biorce’s technology.
  • Navigate complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders across commercial, operational, technical, and executive functions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand initial commercial wins across additional teams, business units, therapeutic areas, programs, and customer relationships.
  • Develop strategic account plans designed to grow long-term relationships with key CRO customers.
  • Represent Biorce at industry events, conferences, client meetings, and strategic commercial engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Clinical Solutions, Customer Success, and other internal teams to tailor pitches, demonstrations, proposals, and commercial strategies.
  • Provide market intelligence and direct customer feedback to help inform Biorce’s product development, positioning, and broader CRO strategy.
  • Help define and refine commercial processes, territory strategies, account segmentation, and sales infrastructure as Biorce continues to scale across the U.S.
  • Maintain clear ownership of your territory, pipeline, customer relationships, and commercial objectives while collaborating effectively across the wider organization.

Requirements

✅ Must haves

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, strategic accounts, partnerships, or a similar commercial role within clinical technology, CRO services, life sciences technology, or a closely related sector.
  • Strong understanding of the CRO ecosystem, clinical development, and clinical trial operations.
  • An established network across the U.S. CRO market and the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders across leading CRO organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience selling technology, services, or complex solutions into CRO customers.
  • Proven track record of independently generating pipeline, opening new accounts, closing new business, and consistently delivering against commercial targets.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple senior stakeholders across clinical, operational, technical, and executive functions.
  • Strong prospecting and business development capabilities, with the ability to independently build a territory and create new commercial opportunities.
  • Strong commercial judgment and the ability to prioritize accounts based on potential value, strategic importance, urgency, and likelihood of conversion.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and develop relationships across multiple levels of an account.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% across the U.S. and internationally for client engagements, conferences, industry events, and company offsites.
