About the role

Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking an MDM & Data Governance Lead to help drive our Data function from our Austin hub. This person will play a critical role in making sure Biorce's data stays trustworthy, consistent, and well-governed as the company scales.

Who We're Looking For:

Someone who has built master data management and governance frameworks from the ground up, not just maintained an existing one. This person should be able to make "which version of this dataset is correct" a question that never comes up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and own Biorce's master data management strategy and data governance framework
  • Define data ownership, quality standards, and stewardship processes across teams
  • Build processes to detect and resolve data quality and consistency issues at scale
  • Partner with Data Architecture and Engineering to embed governance into the platform itself
  • Set and monitor data quality KPIs
  • Educate teams across the company on data governance best practices

Must-haves

  • 6+ years in data governance, MDM, or data quality roles
  • Proven experience designing a governance framework from scratch
  • Strong understanding of data quality frameworks and metadata management
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthtech, life sciences, or regulated data environments
  • Familiarity with clinical data standards (CDISC, HL7 FHIR, OMOP)
  • Experience with MDM tooling and data catalog platforms

Why Join Us?

  • A dynamic work environment with an international team, where collaboration and diversity thrive.
  • Work alongside top talent, united by a shared purpose and committed to making a real impact.
  • Get equipped with a MacBook to enhance your productivity and work experience.
  • Benefits package designed to support you and your family's overall well-being.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, effective from your start date or shortly thereafter depending on location.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
  • Company events to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together.
  • Our office is pet-friendly! You'll likely be greeted by a few wagging tails upon arrival.
