About the role

Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking Clinical Data Leads to help drive our Data function from our Austin hub, reporting directly to our Head of Data. This person will own data quality and structure for one of three core domains - operational trial data, real-world data (RWD), or core clinical data - making sure Aika's foundation in that domain is rigorous and reliable.

Who We're Looking For:

A senior clinical data professional with real depth in at least one of: operational trial data, real-world data, or core clinical trial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own data quality, structure, and integrity for your assigned domain (operational / RWD / clinical)
• Apply relevant clinical data standards (CDISC SDTM/ADaM) to ensure data is structured and defensible
• Partner with Data Engineering to design pipelines specific to your domain's data sources
• Review and audit incoming data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Mentor Clinical Data Engineers working within your domain
• Flag data quality risks early and drive resolution

Requirements

✅ Must-haves

• 6+ years in clinical data management, biostatistics, real-world evidence, or clinical operations
• Deep hands-on experience in at least one of: operational trial data, RWD, or core clinical trial data
• Strong knowledge of relevant clinical data standards (CDISC SDTM/ADaM)
• Comfortable partnering with engineers to translate domain knowledge into technical requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

✨ Nice-to-Haves

• Experience mentoring or leading other clinical data professionals
• Familiarity with SQL/Python for hands-on data validation
• Background in AI/ML-adjacent data work
