About the role
Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking an Academy Leader to help drive our Commercial learning and enablement function from our Barcelona hub. Reporting directly to our Global Head of Sales Academy, this person will play a critical role in turning our sales learning strategy into day-to-day execution on the frontline, accelerating time-to-ramp and driving sustained performance across SDR and AE teams.
Who We´re Looking For:
The Academy Leader is a high-energy, execution-focused operator with a passion for developing commercial talent in fast-growing, global environments. This person combines strong facilitation skills, sharp analytical thinking, and a modern L&D toolkit to design and deliver programs that move real pipeline metrics. They should be able to take clear learning frameworks and flawlessly operationalize them through onboarding, continuous learning, and coaching on the sales floor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execution of New-Hire Onboarding (SDRs & AEs)
- Program Delivery: Roll out and facilitate the multi-week onboarding curriculum, ensuring incoming SDRs master foundational skills (e.g., outbound prospecting, cold calling, objection handling) and AEs master core deal mechanics (e.g., discovery, value selling, negotiation, closing).
- Time-to-Ramp Optimization: Monitor and actively compress the time it takes for new hires to achieve core pipeline milestones—accelerating speed-to-productivity against foundational role metrics (e.g., Sales Qualified Meetings [SQMs] for SDRs).
- Certifications & Milestones: Administer the established certification framework (e.g., pitch checks, system dry-runs, mock discoveries) to ensure new hires successfully graduate into active pipelines.
2. Management of Continuous Learning & Upskilling
- Skills Deployment: Coordinate and deliver advanced training modules to address live performance gaps across the existing sales floor, focusing on areas like advanced discovery, competitive intelligence, and macro-economic selling strategies.
- Product & Market Enablement: Partner closely with Marketing , Science, and Product Management to roll out training on product releases, technical updates, and industry trends using predefined sales plays.
- Playbook Maintenance: Keep internal Sales Playbooks, messaging guides, sequence templates, and discovery assets up-to-date and organized as strategies evolve.
3. Technology, LMS, & Analytics Management
- Academy Administration: Manage the organization, content repository, and deployment of our learning tools to ensure learning paths are intuitive and easily accessible.
- Engagement Tracking: Monitor and analyze learner engagement, completion rates, and assessment scores to ensure compliance and accountability across the team.
- Data-Driven Evaluation: Correlate Academy completion rates and training engagement with actual CRM performance data. Track how effectively enablement programs move core pipeline advancement metrics (e.g., demos, proposals, and deals closed for AEs).
4. Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coaching & Mentorship: Act as an auxiliary coach for reps on the floor, running call-calibration sessions and providing constructive feedback on recorded calls and emails.
- Frontline Alignment: Sync regularly with SDR and AE leadership to ensure Academy delivery matches live frontline needs and management expectations.
