About the role

Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking a Clinical Lead to help drive our Scientific function from our Austin or Barcelona hubs.

Reporting directly to our Chief Scientific Officer, this person will play a critical role in shaping how Aika is validated, communicated, and delivered to the market: mentoring a team of clinical specialists and acting as a senior scientific voice both internally and externally.

At Biorce, our Scientific team is organised across three verticals: Products (partnering with engineering and product to validate and shape what Aika does), Scientific Solutions (leading scientific support for our commercial team across demos, onboarding, and client success), and Scientific Communications (driving our scientific narrative through articles, publications, and peer-reviewed work). During the interview process, we'll explore your experience and leadership style together to identify the vertical where you'll have the greatest impact.

Who We're Looking For:

A seasoned clinical or scientific professional who has led teams, owned outcomes, and operated at the intersection of science, product, and business. We're looking for someone with the technical depth to be credible inside the room, the leadership instinct to grow a team, and the strategic clarity to set direction.

This person should be able to lead a vertical end-to-end: setting standards, mentoring specialists, partnering with senior stakeholders, and representing Biorce externally with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a vertical within the Scientific function, owning quality, standards, and outcomes across all deliverables.
  • Mentor, and grow a team of Clinical Specialists, setting clear expectations and developing their careers.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Commercial leadership to shape strategy, prioritise work, and ensure scientific rigor is embedded across the business.
  • Represent Biorce externally: with clients, in industry forums, on panels, and across the scientific community.
  • Drive high-impact outputs that strengthen Aika's credibility, whether that's product validation, client success, or peer-reviewed publications.
  • Stay close to regulatory, scientific, and competitive developments to keep Biorce ahead of the curve.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree in a relevant area
  • 6+ years of experience in clinical development, clinical operations, scientific affairs, or a related function
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong familiarity with regulatory expectations and clinical research guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, actionable guidance for internal and external stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in digital health, AI-driven platforms, or health tech
  • Track record of scientific publications, conference presentations, or thought leadership
  • Exposure to commercial or client-facing environments (sales support, KOL engagement, advisory boards)
