About the role

As Chief of Staff to the Engineering Department, you will act as a strategic partner to the CTO, driving execution across product, data, and R&D teams. This role blends project management, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment to ensure that engineering scales efficiently while maintaining high impact and pace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Alignment: Translate company and product strategy into clear engineering priorities and deliverables.
• Execution Oversight: Track project progress across multiple squads, anticipate bottlenecks, and ensure consistent delivery against key milestones.
• Operational Efficiency: Build and optimize systems for sprint planning, resource allocation, and cross-team coordination.
• Performance & Metrics: Develop dashboards to monitor engineering KPIs—velocity, quality, uptime, backlog health, and innovation throughput.
• Communication Bridge: Serve as a liaison between engineering, product, and executive teams, ensuring clarity and accountability in all tech-related initiatives.
• Talent & Culture: Partner with HR and leadership to scale hiring, onboarding, and engagement initiatives within the engineering organization.
• Decision Support: Conduct analytical assessments and business cases for new tech investments, infrastructure costs, or build-vs-buy scenarios.
• Special Projects: Lead high-impact initiatives such as strategic partnerships, compliance automation, or technology modernization programs.

Ideal Profile:

• 6+ years of experience in a technology-driven environment, ideally within Healthtech, SaaS, or enterprise software.
• Prior experience in Chief of Staff or Strategy role supporting CTO or VP Engineering functions.
• Deep understanding of software delivery lifecycle, Agile development, and cloud-based architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to translate data into decisions and executive narratives.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with executive presence and diplomacy.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and long-term strategic programs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable navigating ambiguity in a high-growth environment.
