We distribute our ratings via our SaaS Product, BeZero Carbon Markets, informing all market participants on how to price and manage risk. Our ratings and research tools support buyers, intermediaries, investors and carbon project developers.

Founded in April 2020, our 150+ strong team combines climatic and earth sciences, sell-side financial research, earth observation, machine learning, data and technology, engineering, and public policy expertise. We work from four continents.

We raised a significant Series B funding round in late 2022, and are growing rapidly as a company, accelerating the Net-Zero transition through ratings.

Job Description:

The Director of Marketing is a pivotal role in the business and drives BeZero’s marketing activities, generating commercial opportunities for the business through brand building, lead generation and sales enablement. This will involve market understanding, demand generation, channel marketing, campaign planning and execution, contributing to and delivering BeZero’s marketing strategy. This role is critical in further establishing BeZero’s market leading position within the Voluntary Carbon Market, and powering its growth into new audiences and segments.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be critical in powering BeZero’s marketing activities and supporting its growth and position as the leading carbon ratings agency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of the core carbon market dynamics and user nuances to market our product to a range of audiences

• Define marketing strategy and implementation: Work with the CMO and commercial leadership to develop and implement marketing strategies across a range of channels that generate commercial opportunity for BeZero.

• Demand generation campaigns: drive awareness and demand for our products and solutions, working closely with Commercial, Content, Product and Research teams, for different audiences and regions.

• Improve consistency and quality of messaging: own and enforce how and when we communicate BeZero’s value proposition, product propositions, key differentiators and content across channels, from website and events through to campaigns to sales collateral.

• Develop and oversee the implementation of BeZero’s Digital marketing strategy to embed our chosen positioning, establish top of mind recall across digital channels and retain this position over time.

• Maximise event impact: Manage and oversee the company’s participation at external events and forums to maximise commercial and reputational impact.

• Delivery, experience and execution: ensure all customers and prospects get a premium experience from BeZero at all marketing touchpoints.

• Ensure best practice processes and standards across the marketing organisation, prioritising activities and identifying opportunities to work smarter within the team and with other departments

• Build, inspire and lead a high performing, diverse team aligned to BeZero values.

• Identify, measure and deliver on the KPIs for the Marketing function.

You will be our ideal candidate if you have strong experience in a marketing leadership role at a fast growing, content driven, B2B product business;

• Market development, category creation - you have built demand for new products in new markets/ segments and have experience understanding evolving customer needs in new and complex markets (Voluntary Carbon Market experience is a big plus).

• Selling content driven products - you have experience creating and implementing customer focused, benefit led messaging and campaigns for buyers of specialist, technical knowledge and insights products

• Commercially minded - you have experience identifying and quantifying opportunities, prioritising activities and allocating and managing media and sponsorship strategies and budgets

• You can simplify - you have experience simplifying complex ideas into powerful marketing activity, demonstrating customer value across all channels and touchpoints

• Cross-functional - you execute work to the highest standards, working on complex projects with multiple teams and, where needed, external partners

• Independent - you must be self-reliant, ambitious and driven to create effective work for a mission driven, high performance business.
