The Technical Manager – Spinning & Weaving will be responsible for end-to-end technical setup of spinning and weaving departments in a greenfield textile project. The role involves machine selection, layout planning, installation, commissioning, and process stabilization to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Setup & Technical Planning

• Lead the technical setup of spinning and weaving units from concept to commissioning
• Plan department layouts aligned with production flow and efficiency
• Define technical specifications for machinery and infrastructure

2. Machinery Selection & Installation

• Identify and finalize machinery
• Coordinate with global machine suppliers and vendors
• Oversee installation, alignment, and commissioning of machines

3. Process Development & Optimization

• Establish process parameters for yarn quality, productivity, and waste control
• Optimize machine performance and efficiency (RPM, speed, output, etc.)
• Implement best practices in spinning and weaving operations

4. Quality Control & Standards

• Define quality benchmarks for yarn and fabric production
• Ensure consistency in output and adherence to international standards
• Troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with civil, electrical, and utility teams during setup
• Ensure readiness of infrastructure (humidity control, power, compressed air, etc.)
• Align with procurement and supply chain teams for raw material planning

6. Production Stabilization & Handover

• Support trial runs and initial production phases
• Stabilize operations to achieve targeted efficiency levels
• Train and guide production teams for smooth operations

7. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with machine manufacturers, consultants, and technical experts
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery and installation
• Resolve technical issues during project execution

Skills Requirement

1. Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Textile Engineering or related technical discipline.
2. 10-15 years of experience in spinning and weaving operations within textile manufacturing.
3. Strong technical expertise in spinning and weaving machinery, installation, and commissioning.
4. Hands-on experience in greenfield textile project setup and plant commissioning.
5. Knowledge of process engineering, machine optimization, productivity enhancement, and waste reduction.
6. Experience coordinating with international machinery suppliers, OEMs, and technical consultants.
7. Strong understanding of yarn and fabric quality standards and process control systems.
8. Ability to handle trial runs, production startup, and process stabilization activities.
9. Excellent technical problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills.
10. Strong leadership and project execution capabilities.
