Job Objective and Overview

Responsible for managing MIS (Management Information Systems) reporting and financial data analysis to support business decision-making. The role involves preparing accurate financial reports, dashboards, and insights while ensuring data integrity and timely reporting. The candidate should have strong expertise in SAP and experience in handling financial MIS within a structured corporate environment.

Responsibilities:

Daily Accounting:

o Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial records.

Monthly Book Closing:

o Manage monthly closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate closure of books in line with reporting timelines.

Financial Statement Preparation:

o Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.

MIS Reporting:

o Prepare and maintain periodic MIS reports to support management in strategic decision-making.

Financial Analysis:

o Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve business performance.

SAP Management:

o Utilize SAP for financial transactions, data extraction, report generation, and ensuring data accuracy.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

o Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor performance against targets.

Dashboard & Reporting:

o Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track key financial and operational metrics.

Data Accuracy & Controls:

o Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across systems and reports.

Audit & Compliance:

o Support internal and external audits by providing required financial data and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Stakeholder Coordination:

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and align financial reporting requirements.

Process Improvement:

o Identify opportunities to improve MIS and accounting processes through automation and efficiency enhancements.

Skills/Requirements:

o Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Finance & MIS, preferably in textile industry or manufacturing.

o Strong hands-on experience in SAP for accounting entries, financial reporting, and data extraction.

o Practical experience in handling daily accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.

o Experience in monthly book closing and preparation of financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.

o Good understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.

o Proven experience in MIS reporting, financial analysis, and preparation of management reports.

o Strong working knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis, report preparation, and financial modeling.

o Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

o Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

o High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data.

o Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with cross-functional and international teams.

o Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

o Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.

o bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field (MBA / CA Inter preferred).

o Knowledge of Power BI or other reporting/automation tools will be an added advantage.
