Job Objective and Overview
The PPC Head will lead end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and control for the home textiles division (bedding, towels, curtains, upholstery, etc.). The role ensures optimal utilization of resources, on-time delivery, inventory control, and alignment between merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on order forecasts and priorities
- Coordinate with merchandising and sales teams for order confirmation and delivery timelines
- Ensure line loading and capacity planning across weaving, dyeing, processing, and stitching units
2. Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Plan raw material requirements (yarn, fabric, dyes, trims, packaging)
- Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess/shortages
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials
3. Process Coordination
- Oversee workflow from raw material to finished goods
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments (weaving, processing, finishing, QC, packing)
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks
4. Delivery & Order Management
- Track order progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules
- Manage priority orders and urgent shipments
- Communicate delays or risks proactively to stakeholders
5. Capacity & Efficiency Optimization
- Analyze machine and labor utilization
- Implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce lead times
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
6. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and dispatch reports
- Track KPIs like OTIF (On-Time In-Full), capacity utilization, wastage, and efficiency
- Use ERP systems for planning and tracking
7. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the PPC team
- Set targets and monitor team performance
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration
Skills and Qualifications
- 10–18 years of experience in PPC within home textiles or textile manufacturing
- Strong exposure to export-oriented production environments
- Strong knowledge of textile processes (weaving, dyeing, finishing, stitching)
- Expertise in production planning tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
