Job Objective and Overview:
As a Store & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall warehouse and store operations for garment manufacturing. The role involves managing inventory, ensuring efficient storage and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination between production, procurement, and logistics teams. The position plays a key role in ensuring timely availability of materials and efficient shipment processes.

Main Responsibilities:
• Warehouse Operations Management:
o Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching raw materials, trims, accessories, and finished garments.
• Inventory Management:
o Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels for fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials required for garment production.
• Material Receiving & Inspection:
o Supervise the receiving of materials and ensure proper documentation, quantity verification, and quality checks before storage.
• Storage & Space Optimization:
o Ensure proper storage practices and warehouse layout optimization to maximize space utilization and maintain material safety.
• Production Coordination:
o Coordinate with production and merchandising teams to ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted manufacturing processes.
• Dispatch & Logistics Coordination:
o Manage dispatch planning and coordinate with logistics partners for the timely shipment of finished goods to buyers or distribution points.
• Documentation & Record Keeping:
o Maintain accurate documentation including Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), stock registers, issue slips, and shipment records.
• Team Management:
o Lead and supervise warehouse and store staff, ensuring efficient task allocation, training, and adherence to operational standards.
• Quality & Compliance:
o Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and warehouse compliance procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Cost & Efficiency Management:
o Monitor warehouse costs, reduce wastage, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills / Requirements:
o 10–12 years of experience in Store and Warehouse Management within the Garment or Textile Manufacturing industry.
o Strong experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and material handling.
o Hands-on experience in managing fabric, trims, accessories, and finished garment inventory.
o Proven ability to manage warehouse teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments such as production, procurement, and logistics.
o bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
o Good understanding of garment manufacturing workflow and material requirements.
o Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage inventory records and stock accuracy.
o Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet operational deadlines.
o Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and compliance standards.
o Experience working in international manufacturing setups or African markets will be an added advantage.
