Job Objective and Overview
Responsibility and accountability for the purchase of dyes and chemicals for the textile business to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, taking into account price competitiveness, quality, and to ensure continuity of supply. The candidate should have excellent networking in the Textile Industry with experience in 2-3 large reputed textile companies.

Main Responsibilities:
Ensure procurement and sourcing of Dyes & Chemical as per Arise Procurement SOP aligned with business objectives, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance while driving value and savings.
Manage high-value procurement of dyes and chemicals, ensuring compliance with technical, commercial, and operational requirements.
Source and engage with global suppliers, with strong working knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices and FIDIC contracting.
Drive procurement decisions based on market trends, benchmarking, and industry intelligence.
Identify, evaluate, and develop profitable suppliers, initiating long-term strategic procurement partnerships.
Lead supplier negotiations and contract management to secure best value, quality standards, and favorable delivery terms, collaborating closely with technical and operational stakeholders.
Manage expectations of Key stakeholders and actively engage with them to ensure delivery of SLAs
Closely work with technical team i.e. Operations, quality and process in textile to get approval of new/ alternate suppliers. Should be able to do rate analysis and competitive benchmarking
Prepare and present management reports, key performance indicators, and cost-saving analyses.
Review and renegotiate existing supplier agreements to optimize commercial terms and mitigate risk.
Monitor and manage supplier performance through structured evaluation processes covering quality, compliance, and delivery.
Ensure procurement activities comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies to safeguard employees, suppliers, and visitors.
Skills and Qualifications
- Over 10-12 years of proven working experience in Procurement of Dyes & Chemicals in reputed Textile companies.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- B Tech in Textile or Chemical Engineering, or any Diploma in business administration/ Materials management shall be preferred.
- Proficiency in English (Some knowledge in French is a plus but not required).
