Job Summary

Asst. Manager Contracts and Procurement shall be responsible for contract administration, cost control, risk management, procurement strategies, coordinating with the Central procurement, co-ordinating with site team on all procurement related works as a single point of contact between site and the central procurement team, risk management, procurement strategies, and ensuring commercial viability.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts along with the Central procurement team.
  • Manage Contract lifecycle from award through execution including monitoring performance and ensuring obligations and timelines are met.
  • Ensure contracts include appropriate terms regarding scope, deliverables, pricing, time lines, risk allocation and dispute resolution
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all contract terms.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and risk assesments
  • Manage change orders, variations, extensions of time, and claims.
  • Resolve disputes and manage contractual risks proactively. Also maintain contractual communication to avoid disputes
  • Maintain all contractual documentation and correspondence.
  • Supplier Relationship and Performance Management:
  • Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Address and resolve supplier issues, claims and disputes
  • Procurement Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify sourcing needs and opportunities to achieve cost saving and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement demands
  • Prepare a list of local vendors and contractors for various works as a data base
  • Budgeting & cost Control:
  • Support budgeting process by providing accurate procurement cost estimates
  • Track spending against budgets and identify opportunities for saving or cost avoidance
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare procurement and contract performance reports for management
  • Maintain accurate and organized procurement and contract document

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Certification in contract management system & Procurement systems
  • Experience in international procurement is mandatory
  • Minimum 10 plus years as contracts and procurement in infrastructure project
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions and have handled projects with FIDIC.
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak execution periods
