We are seeking a qualified and experienced Textile Plant Head to oversee our Garments manufacturing operations. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the entire manufacturing operations of the garment factory, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, consistent product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role oversees Production, Cutting, IE, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and HR (factory operations).
Key Responsibilities
A. Production & Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Drive productivity improvements and ensure optimal utilization of manpower and machines.
- Review line plans and ensure adherence to production schedules.
B. Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with PPC/Planning team for capacity booking and realistic loading plans.
- Ensure smooth style changeovers, pre-production approvals, and risk assessments.
- Conduct daily production review meetings with functional heads.
C. Quality Management
- Ensure strict adherence to buyer quality standards.
- Reduce DHU, rework, and rejection levels across all processes.
- Drive root-cause analysis and CAPA for any major quality deviations.
D. Industrial Engineering
- Monitor SMV accuracy, efficiency improvements, and skill development plans.
- Push for lean manufacturing and productivity improvement projects.
- Ensure correct line balancing and method engineering.
E. Cost & Efficiency Control
- Monitor operational costs, including labour, overtime, wastage, and utilities.
- Ensure manufacturing costs stay within approved budgets.
- Improve process efficiency and reduce non-value-added activities.
F. Workforce Management
- Lead, train, and motivate department heads and large factory workforce.
- Ensure proper manpower planning, attendance control, and skill matrix mapping.
- Promote a safe, disciplined, and performance-oriented culture.
G. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to social compliance, safety standards, and customer audits.
- Ensure zero non-compliance findings in customer or third-party audits.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized shop floors (5S).
H. Continuous Improvement
- Drive lean, KAIZEN, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Implement data-driven decision making through MIS and dashboards.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in Textile / Garment / Industrial Engineering
- 15–20 years of experience in large-scale garment manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role such as AGM/GM/Factory Head.
- Strong knowledge of IE, quality systems, planning, and customer requirements.
- Experience in handling 500–2000+ sewing machines is preferred.
