Job Purpose

To provide end-to-end IT infrastructure, systems, and application support for large-scale meat processing operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT services. The role will support SAP and enterprise systems, plant IT, and digital initiatives, enabling a highly connected, IoT-enabled environment across cattle procurement, feedlot operations, processing, storage, and logistics in greenfield and brownfield projects.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

IT Support & Operations

• Provide technical support to end users by identifying system issues and recommending effective solutions.
• Support computer applications, operating systems, and enterprise systems including SAP used by the organization.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware, end-user devices, servers, firewalls, and network equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and system availability.

IT Infrastructure & Network

• Design, implement, and support IT infrastructure including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and fiber networks across plants, offices, and remote locations.
• Prepare and maintain system architecture documentation and blueprints for reference and future expansion.
• Monitor system performance, resolve bottlenecks, and optimize throughput and reliability.

Application & Business Support

• Provide IT support for SAP and other enterprise applications, coordinating with internal teams and vendors where required.
• Partner with business teams (operations, supply chain, procurement, finance) to ensure IT systems effectively support operational needs.
• Support IT requirements for greenfield and brownfield industrial projects, including new plant setups and system upgrades.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure 100% compliance across all users and systems.
• Monitor systems for security threats, intrusions, and viruses; implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage access controls, backups, and data protection in line with IT governance standards.

Digital & Plant IT Enablement

• Support IT systems enabling digital and IoT-driven environments, including:
• Cattle procurement and tagging systems
• Feedlot management systems
• Processing, cold storage, dispatch, and logistics systems
• Coordinate integration between plant systems, sensors, tagging devices, and enterprise platforms.

Change & Vendor Management

• Manage IT changes to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and systems.
• Coordinate with IT vendors, system integrators, and service providers.
• Support system build, release, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization activities.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology.
• Master’s degree in IT with minimum 7 years of experience
• Professional certifications in SAP, IT Security, Cisco, ITIL, Server Administration, Fortinet, MCP will be an advantage.

Relevant Experience

• 7 -10 years of IT experience in a recognized organization.
• Mandatory exposure to enterprise IT environments, including SAP systems.
• Strong preference for experience in meat processing, poultry, or large-scale agribusiness / manufacturing.
• Experience supporting greenfield or brownfield IT projects.
• Strong understanding of IT systems supporting procurement, production, storage, and logistics.

Technical & Behavioral Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environment & M365
• Advanced understanding of IT hardware, software troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Strong networking skills (Wi-Fi, fiber, LAN/WAN)
• Good understanding of IT security principles
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written & verbal)
• Team player with a proactive, business-oriented mindset
