Job Summary

Assist Safety Officer in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment on a construction site constant monitoring and identifying hazards, implementing safety policies, and promoting a safety-conscious culture. The job includes conducting regular site inspections, assisting safety officer in developing and enforcing safety protocols, training workers, assist in investigating accidents and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Site Inspections and Hazard Identification:

Regularly inspect the site for potential hazards, including faulty equipment, unsafe working conditions, and non-compliance with safety regulations.

• Assist in Developing and Implementing Safety Policies:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Safety Training and Communication:

Provide training to workers on safety procedures, proper use of PPE, and emergency procedures.

• Assist in Risk Assessment:

Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop risk management plans.

• Assist in Accident Investigation:

Assist to Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

• Compliance Monitoring:

Ensure that all workers, contractors, and suppliers comply with safety regulations and procedures.

• Record Keeping and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of all safety-related activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.

• Emergency Management:

-Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to prepare for potential emergencies.

-Reviewing contractor safety programs.

-Monitoring the site for compliance.

-Keeping records of incidents and safety concerns.

-Assessing plans and blueprints to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.

-Checking tools to ensure they are safe for use.

-Gathering feedback from workers to improve safety practices.

Job Requirements

• Over ten years experience in safety in civil engineering projects involving marine structures, land development, container yard, roads, utilities, buildings, sheds etc.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak execution periods
• Good communication skills in English
