Position Title: QHSE Director
Location: Multipurpose Industrial Terminal of San Pedro (TIPS), Côte d’Ivoire
Reporting to: General Manager
Contract Type: Permanent
Status: Executive
🎯 Main Mission
The QHSE Director defines, implements, and manages the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policy of the terminal. He/she ensures that all operations comply with applicable standards, customer requirements, best industrial practices, and the company’s commitments to sustainable development, safety, and environmental protection.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
1. QHSE Policy Implementation
- Define the QHSE strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Design and update the integrated management system (quality, safety, environment).
- Set QHSE targets and monitor action plans.
2. Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Identify, assess, and mitigate professional, environmental, and industrial risks.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and national/international regulations.
- Coordinate audits, regulatory inspections, and internal controls.
- Conduct regulatory and normative watch.
3. Operational Oversight
- Implement QHSE procedures and tools adapted to port and industrial activities.
- Lead audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement actions.
- Monitor QHSE performance indicators (KPIs).
- Actively participate in management and HSE committees.
4. Awareness & Training
- Promote a strong safety culture across all levels.
- Develop and deliver QHSE awareness and training programs.
- Support teams in adopting procedures and standards.
5. Team Leadership
- Manage the QHSE department (officers, engineers, supervisors).
- Set objectives, evaluate performance, and support team development.
🧩 Profile Requirements
Education:
- Master’s degree or Engineering qualification in QHSE, Risk Management, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 7–10 years of experience in a similar role in an industrial or port setting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of QHSE standards and local regulations (ANDE, CIAPOL, CNPS, etc.).
- Strong application of ISPS Code
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and risk analysis tools (e.g., HAZOP, AMDEC).
- Proven experience in crisis management, audits, and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in office tools and QHSE software.
