Job Title: Planning Engineer / Planning Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Engineer / Coordinator to support infrastructure project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities. The ideal candidate should have 10–12 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure projects and be well-versed with planning tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite. The role also involves active participation in procurement and contract management functions, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery within budget and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools.
- Prepare work breakdown structures (WBS), resource plans, and progress tracking sheets.
- Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and catch-up plans.
- Monitor project progress against schedule, identify delays or deviations, and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with site teams, consultants, design teams, contractors, and procurement departments for timely inputs and data.
- Support procurement team for getting quotations for various materials, labours and service items, vendor evaluations, and monitor material delivery schedules.
- Draft and review contract documents, track subcontractor deliverables, and manage contractual correspondences.
- Prepare and present project reports, dashboards, and progress reviews to senior management and clients.
- Conduct delay analysis and contribute to extension of time (EOT) claims or cost impact assessments.
- Generate quantity take-offs and interface with design and construction teams using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project management standards.
- Preparation/submission of DPR, WPRs, MPRs and any other reports required by management.
Key Skills & Tools:
- Strong knowledge of MS Project.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Familiarity with ERP/project management tools is an advantage
- Understanding of FIDIC/contractual frameworks preferred
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, lead planning meetings, and work in cross-functional teams
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant field (mandatory)
- Postgraduate Diploma/Certification in Project Management or Planning (preferred)
Preferred Background:
- Prior experience in planning of large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, urban, industrial infrastructure etc.
- Exposure to both EPC and PMC environments
- Involvement in project lifecycle management, from pre-construction through commissioning
