Preferably Indian candidate with a strong knowledge of both the Nigerian market and timber product, result-oriented salesperson who will

  • Drive sales
  • Manage Warehousing
  • Customers follow up and collections
  • General accounting requirements for the Particle Board
  • Reporting the sales and collections

The candidate should possess knowledge of plywood, particle board and an understanding of the Nigerian market, with the ability to coordinate from the shipment port to clearing the goods at the destination port and finally sales and finance functions with following,

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell particle board and timber products to customers, distributors and retailers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Conduct market visits to identify new opportunities

Warehousing & Inventory Management:

  • Oversee warehousing activities including inward/outward stock movement, inventory reconciliation and storage conditions
  • Ensure proper documentation and managing receipts and dispatched and related records
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery

Sales Accounting & Record Keeping:

  • Record all sales transactions accurately in coordination with the finance team and its reporting
  • Maintain and reconcile sales ledgers, invoices, delivery notes and payment receipts
  • Assist with day-to-day reporting on monthly reporting reacted to sales, sales and receivables

Collection and Receivables:

  • Monitor receivables and follow up with customers
  • Maintain a clear ledger of each customer, invoices, and payment receipts
  • Escalated collection issues to management in timely manner with a proper documentation

Preferred Attributes and Qualification:

  • Self-motivated, with strong ownership and accountability
  • Multitasker managing field and back-end responsibilities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, minimum 5 years of experience in sales and operations, preferably in wood products industry or building materials sector
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operation and record keeping.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS words, excel
  • Should have worked in Nigeria
