Civil & Mechanical Engineer

Are you a Civil Engineer with experience in structural and mechanical engineering, eager to use your skills to accelerate the world’s transition to renewable energy sources?

Fantastic, welcome to Alight! We're an entrepreneurial scale-up driven by a strong purpose: to kick carbon off the grid by helping businesses save money with solar from day 1. As one of the leading developers of solar projects, our civil and mechanical engineering endeavors are pivotal to our success.

As a Civil & Mechanical Engineer, you become our inhouse technical advisor and participate in the technical discussions and negotiations with external and internal stakeholders. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact, shaping the future of renewable energy infrastructure.

Your impact

In this role as our Civil & Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for civil design and calculations and will be our expert to discuss issues with lenders’ technical advisors. You’re expected to work independently (with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues), identify problems, develop solutions and take action to resolve them.

In this role you can work remote-first from anywhere in Europe! However, you must be able and willing to travel to e.g. internal meetings at our Stockholm office, external meetings with customers, suppliers or other third-party stakeholders or sites for site visits when needed.
