Open Engineering Application (Mid–Senior level)
Join ABC Labs in Stockholm! Build AI-enabled diagnostics software that matters, collaborate with experts, and own systems that impact real healthcare.
About the role
ABC Labs is building an AI-native diagnostics platform operating in a regulated, data-intensive healthcare environment. Our software supports real diagnostic workflows across laboratories, clinical operations, and AI-driven analysis — where accuracy, traceability, and trust matter.
We’re always interested in meeting mid to senior level experienced engineers who want to take ownership, solve meaningful problems, and build systems that stand up to real-world use.
The Role
This is an open application for experienced engineers across:
Frontend Engineering
Backend Engineering
Full-Stack Engineering
Quality Assurance (QA)
Depending on your background, you’ll work on clinical workflows, AI-enabled systems, laboratory operations, or quality-critical infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and scientific teams, and help shape how diagnostics software is built and scaled.
What You’ll Work On
Building and improving frontend, backend, or end-to-end product features.
Supporting AI-driven insights and diagnostic workflows.
Improving system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
Contributing to engineering standards suitable for regulated environments.
Supporting documentation, validation, and audit readiness where relevant.
Collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, trusted systems.
This role is suited for mid to senior professionals who care about quality, clarity, and thoughtful execution.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for mid to senior level experienced professionals who:
Are driven, curious, and proactive.
Take initiative and are comfortable guiding work forward.
Can work with minimal guidance and navigate ambiguity.
Enjoy collaboration and clear communication.
Care about building things correctly, not just quickly.
Are motivated by real-world impact.
You don’t need prior healthcare experience — but you do need respect for quality-critical systems.
Why Join ABC Labs
Work on real-world healthcare and diagnostics problems.
Build AI-enabled systems where accuracy truly matters.
Collaborate with experts across engineering, science, and product.
Take ownership and help shape core systems from early stages.
Join a Stockholm-based team with a strong culture of clarity, trust, and execution.
Why This Is Different
At ABC Labs, software isn’t abstract — it directly supports real diagnostic workflows. That means we care deeply about:
Correctness over cleverness
Clarity over shortcuts
Building systems people can trust

About ABC Labs
ABC was created in spring 2020 in direct response to unprecedented challenges of the covid 19 pandemic and grew into the largest pandemic lab conducting up to 30% of total testing with public health contracts exceeding USD 180 million and R&D that led to three national screening programs and 9 publications. Now, we are deploying that infrastructure to the highly regulated, highly complex, and fragmented value chain for substance abuse testing at workplaces that is growing at more than 10% CAGR across the EU with need for increasingly sophisticated and scalable solutions to meet its challenges.
