About FoodFacts:

FoodFacts powers the revolution towards a better food system. We make health- and sustainability-data accessible and actionable to the whole food ecosystem. Change in the food sector is essential: Food is the number one cause of biodiversity loss, responsible for up to 1/3 of our CO2 emissions, for 3/4 of deforestation and for the increase in poor health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

Who is this role for?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be working closely with the CTO to shape the product and our technology. You want to work in an impact-driven company and believe that better food choices could make a real impact. Talking to customers, caring about their problems and finding creative solutions is something that you actively seek out. Since we’re a small but growing startup, you enjoy working in a fast moving but always changing environment. You have experience to bring a project from planning, through implementation, user-testing to deployment.

Must have:

• Strong programming skills in Javascript / Typescript – We use Node.js, React and Next.js
• Strong user focus – You care about solving user problems, not only coding
• Working proficiency in English
• A proven self-starter mindset

Bonus points for:

• Interest in food, sustainability and health
• Experience with production monitoring tools and working with deployment pipelinesand automated testing
• AWS and CI/CD experience
• Previous experience in a start-up environment
• Some knowledge of Swedish – our clients are Swedish companies
